even though chinese has kicked my boot-tay a few times these past few weeks, I seem to always have fun with it, and here I am, saying hello to you in chinese, woot woot! haha
anywho, so I guess Trine Football has also been kicking boot-tay against the #3 ranking competitor DePauw (we're ranked #6, so we had our work cut out for us)! Final score: Trine 45 DePauw 35 ye-YAH! I was unable to go on the 3 some hour trip down there, but Trine did provide a bus to the students for just 10 bucks a seat, but saddly im a stingy college student that won't coff up the dough, so I had my inside source *cough* damon *cough* to keep me updated with score. And, from what he was texting me, it seemed like a pretty heated and exicting game! Trine held the lead for most of the game, but DePauw didn't show any backing down and gained up on us, but hey, we're THUNDER so we stormed them and came out with a win in the end. :) awesome job dudes! now on to the second round of fun!!! woooohoooo! and who knows, maybe I'll fork out a few bucks to see that game... hehe :P this is only the second year we've gone past the first round, so we'll make history if we survive the 2nd round and i have huge faith for these guys, cause it looks like we're unstoppable!! nothing scares THUNDER!
whew, so yeah! that leaves the rest of my saturday filled with running and homework, oh and how i can i forget the Billy the Exterminator marthon that's been going on like all day!! (which has made my homework slow going haha), For tomorrow, I plan on going to the Trine Jazz Band concert. The people involved have worked hard at getting this performance prepared and I cannot wait to hear them play. I used to play the violin and a bit of the string bass, so whenever i can get close to live music, I take full advantage of it.
As far as my overal week went, perdy slooooooooooowwwww going oh my goodness, i thought this week was never gonna end! thursday was the longest day of my life!! i think it's because i'm looking so forward to thanksgiving break starting, that i just became impatient with everything, but hey! it's saturday, nearly sunday, so i got till tuesday till i head on back home to just chill, fill my belly up with the best home-cooking and SLEEP IN!!!! :DDDD
well, speaking of sleep, I better head off myself, or at least get my homework done before I do. I got 7.5 miles to run tomorrow (yep, kill me) so i better be energized and ready for this... huh not really :P
Peace Out

3x MIAA CHAMPS!
BOOOOOOO YAAAAAA........... :DDDD
Trine 58 Albion 16! Not even close ;) There were some awesome interceptions, countless touch downs and heck! 2 point conversions too! It was great. Albion even provided transportation for their students to cheer on their team, but I guess our spirit was just way too awesome for them :P And we couldn't have asked for a better day for a championship game! it was cool and breezy out with a hint of sunlight so just about perfect :)
Us ROTC cadets with the American Legion marched on the field during the pregame show to present the colors and to commemorate this past veterans day. It went well and the American Legion guys were great and it defiantly was an honor to march with them. I mean, a couple of these guys fought in WWII, so to be able to march by them was one of the greatest honors I have ever received.
Hmmm what else, nothing crazy went on this past week. Pretty laid back here at good ole Trine. :) OH! Indoor track practice officially started this week! Surprisingly I'm not that sore! Crazy right?? haha We did repeat 1000m, 5 of those with only a minute rest in between Thursday and that totally sucked! But I know the pain and loss of breath will all pay off so it's totally worth it ;) God do I love track season! <3
Well speaking of track, I gotta go run 4 miles, ugggg not looking forward to it! I hope the xc girls get on indoor track soon so I can have a running buddy! i hate running these miles alone :/
Peace Out dudes!

Mr Freeze :O
Yep yep, the snow has fallen on Trine University to ignite the winter season a wee bit early, (about 2 months early hehe) :P but it's totally what I needed. I mean, when you have snow, that automatically grants you the ability to snuggle up in a blanket with a cup of hot cocoa while watching a movie (i'm feeling Moulin Rouge tonight!) and heck! let's throw in a couple sugar cookies in there too! Ahhhhh.... this weekend looks like it's gonna turn out all right. ;)
This week has defiantly flown by! It feels like yesterday I was at AFROTC getting ready for the Army ROTC Leadership Lab. OH! Speaking of which, oh my god, that Lab was AWESOME! Okay, not as awesome as meeting Stan Lee, but it's up there.
What we did was, in our ABU's (Airmen Battle Uniform aka Camoflauge) we headed over to some fields after class to where the Army ROTC was hosting our Leadership Lab. We all were forewarned to not be offended if an Army Cadet raises their voice to you, so I'm like "HECK YES!!! I'm gonna be yelled at and called a Maggot and what not!" serious dudes, I was excited for this! (crazy i know) So we get there, split up in our flights (Go Echo Flight!) and then headed to our appropriate station to begin training. Our first station: Army Crawl! yaaaaaah!!! My partner and I Army Crawled under the obstacle course and then ran to the combat zone where we had to cover and run. My partner and I would lay in the prone postition and then when I was ready to run I'd yell, "COVER ME WHILE I MOVE!" then she'd yell "GOTCHA COVERED" and I'd yell, "MOVING!" and roll left or right then get up and run for not more than 3 seconds to only drive back down to the ground in the prone position and yell "DOWN!". Then my partner would yell out the same commands as I did while I covered her and dudes, that was AWESOME!! I wish Leadership Lab was more like that always! So anywho, after that we all were allowed to try the Low Crawl which is like the Army Crawl only you're flat on your stomach, face in the ground, and you literally crawl by grabbing the grass as far in front of you and pulling yourself to it. I was about to go, but one of the Cadet's has I guess chronic shoulder dislocation and ended up, well, dislocating her shoulder in the middle of the course so all the rest of us weren't allowed to go through. Sucks, I really wanted to try it, ah well, next time!
After that we went off to the Operations and Objective station where we learned how to attack and sweep an objective with your artillery and support teams. This was pretty cool, setting up a strike and then putting it in action. There was a lot of strategy there!
Then, we headed off to the EPW Take Down Station (I'm making up all these names for the stations i just can't remember their real ones, just a fyi :P haha) where we were taught how to take out an Enemy Prisoner of War. Pretty much, this was my favorite station. They showed us what commands to make and what actions to take if an enemy is near. So, when we were given the chance to encounter an EPW I, well.... ended up "killing" the guy. Haha, not literally killing him, just role playing. I commanded him to put his gun down and he refused to, so I told him again to and he charged at me, so I charged back and he still didn't stop so I "fired" a warning shot (the guns we used were fake) and he still resisted so, I "shot" him. haha :P Hey, he had it coming!! Then I had to check the "dead" body and make sure he didn't have any explosives on him or anything, it was a lot of fun dudes!
Then finally the last station we had was the Hand Signals Stations, where they taught us how to make commands in a stealth environment, meaning only using your hands, not your voice to make commands. I learned a ton! Like the command for Wedge Formation is like making a hand telephone, freeze of course is a fist, hault is an open palm and just a bunch of others! It was so much fun! What wasn't fun was having to run back to the Detachment after that 2-hour Leadership Lab in boots and full camo. Gosh was I tired!
Besides that my week has been pretty laid back. I had a micro-econ test yesterday and found out my score today: 31 out of 30. Crazy right!?!?! haha Chinese was fun too, it always is! Learn something new everyday, like the song Old McDonald had a Farm, well I guess in China they have their own version of it! Small world. :P
Well alrighty peeps, I'm gonna head out and see if there's any flakes still floating outside! and REMEMBER Sunday is Daylight Savings Time, we move back an hour, so be happy for an extra hour of sleep on Sunday night!!! :DDDD

Stan DA Man
So, I'm going to refrain from using too many CAPS in this entry, but OMFG THIS WEEKEND WAS THE BEST WEEKEND EVAHHHHH!!!!!!
But first, I want to update you quickly on Tuesday's Drill Lab I was freaking out over. So, well I survived! yesss.... :P It was as difficult as I expected to be, but I was able to call all 10 commands in the given time so, thank god!!! :DDD Yes, I messed up, I marched outside the the boundaries, made a few wrong calls, but ya know what??? it was my first drill lab, so I think I did perdy well considering it was my first time calling. so yep! an overall success :))))
Alrighty, so on to this weekend... The Detroit Fanfare was AWESOME!!!! So again, I dressed up as Ms Marvel and here's a picture of me with the man of the hour: STAN LEE!!!

It was 70 bucks to just get a picture with the man, but my cousin and I split the cost, so really it was only 35 bucks, and come on, the guy isn't gonna live for much longer (he's 88!!!) and it's just really awesome to get a picture with the guy!!! :DDDD totally worth it, I dont regret it for one second. So yep as you can tell I dressed up and boy oh boy were the cameras going off!!! People left and right asked if they could take a picture of me, it was weird at first and I was like, "Ummm, sure!" and I'd like strike a pose and hope to god I don't look like a retard, but as the day went on, I just got used to it and it was fun posing to the cameras, being macho haha.
So after the picture and being chased by paparazzi fans, I headed off to the autograph line to get my comic book signed by him (cost 40 bucks for this, but again, totally worth it!!!).... my book of choice??? Captain America Vol 5 Issue #600. Yeah, I know that's nothing special, he didn't create Captain America though he did help write issues back in the day, but it's not an oldie comic of his that's already worth a pretty penny and with having a signature on it would spark the value greatly, nope it's not a comic like that, but it's special to me. Captain America is my absolute favorite hero of all time and to have Stan the Man sign a comic book of a hero that's a symbol of this country, then, that's totally worth it to me. It's not about the value of the comic or how much more valuable it will be, naw, not to me at least. As a matter of fact, I already have a comic signed by him. But this comic, issue #600, symbolizes the strength and evolution of the comic world, and Captain America. Gosh, there's just sooo much meaning to him signing that issue, I can't even get it all down, gosh!!! it was just incredible!! I couldn't even say anything to him when I got up there!!! haha I always read that in stories how people just freeze up and can't say anything and now I'm like, "Yep, totally know how that feels like." haha But luckily my mother was there (she dressed up as Wonder Woman, totally pulled it off too!! haha) to say my words for me, "Stan, thank you for giving my daughter a dream to live for." Stan Lee looks up from writing his signature and blows us a kiss and waves us goodbye, and he called me "Dear" ahhhhH!!!!! *nearly faints* I can hardly believe it right now that that totally happened!!!! OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG!!!!! :OOOOOOO And I'm not even done!!! Here's a picture of it:

It's something I totally will do again in a heartbeat!! :D I just remember, when we first pulled up to the place, we couldn't see anyone in costume and my twin was just freaking out, thinking we'd be the only ones dressed up. pffff.... come on, it's a comic convention!!! there were so many people dressed up as heroes, villains, zombies, anything! it was great.
Whoa, I better call this post good, even though it only scrapes the top layer of the entire day, so much happened, gah!!! if I try to type everything out, it'd be a novel so I'll save your eyes the exercise and say Detroit Fanfare = BEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO ME :D
So Yep, my Halloween weekend was a HUGE success and I can only hope yours is too!!! :)))
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

So, after clutching on to my signature autographed comic book, and almost fainting several times, my mother and I head up to the second floor to meet up with my twin, Rebecca - dressed up as BatGirl, and my roommate, Elle - she went as Poison Ivy, to.... give blood!! come on, we're heroes here, gotta save lives!! so yep, we all gave blood and by doing so we were allowed to pick 50 comic books from the 30,000 comics donated there!! oh my goodness I could've been there all week and still wouldn't have been fully satisfied with my selection, but I only had an hour or so to work with so I had to act quick. :P Well, at least half were all Captain America, then I nabbed as many Ms Marvel comics I could find and a few others. I was happy with them all! and, as I was doing allllll of that, people were taking pictures of me looking at the comics!!! ca-razyness!!! haha.
Ahhhhhh.... that was a guuuuur-RATE day :) My roommate, twin, and mother all had a fabulous time too, even though they are not huge comic fans like me, it was great to see that they were enjoying it all just as much as me, so that really made the day all the better seeing them laugh and have a fun time :) We all got tons of pictures with people too. Iron Man, War Machine, Spiderman, Nick Fury, and soooo many more people were there that we got to take awesome pictures with.

AfterShock! :O
Oh my goodness, this weekend has been exciting!! Just one amazing thing after another!! :DDD
Well, first things first, Cedar Point was AWESOME!!! It was halloweekend so it was super busy, the average time to wait in line for one ride was 2 hours!! Crazy right? But it's like once you get on the ride that maybe will last 15 seconds, it's totally worth it!! Maverick was defiantly my favorite! Myself and my friends rode that one first. I've been to Cedar Point twice before, but my friend, Damon, never has so that was an experience within itself to see his life flash before his eyes countless times throughout the night, haha. We also went on Top Thrilled Dragster!!! YAAAA!!!! 120mph in 3 seconds shot up 420ft in the air, in total darkness since by then it was already 9pm by the time we made it to the actual seat of the ride. Oh my goodness that was awesome! haha I think my gut is still somewhere back there. :P it was a bit over a 2 hour wait for a 17second ride, and I may sound crazy for saying this, but it was worth every minute of it. :) We wanted to hit up Millennium Force, but that line was INSANE, like insane enough that for me that was too long of a wait. So instead, since it was halloweekend, there were scare walks all around the park so we headed off to those and oh my goodness those were so much fun!! They had hundreds of fogs machines going, leaving you totally disoriented and confused on where you were and then lasers or random spotlights would be a ways away to draw you to it, and then BAM a freaky looking face would pop up in front of you and scare the ba-jeebens outta you! haha it was soo much fun. I chewed out Damon for letting me go astray and not fighting off all the ghouls for me, but he was so funny with the freaky people because he'd just walk up to them and try to strike up a conversation, smooth Damon, very smooth haha.
So yep, Cedar Point was the Shiz!!! We arrived there at around 2:30pm, rode a total of 3 coasters (Maverick, Magnum, and Top Thrill Dragster), ate din-din at the diner by 9:30pm, swung on Max Air, and walked 3 scare walks, and after getting back together with the rest of the Trine folk by midnight to head back to the bus, then fall sound asleep, we got back to campus at about 3:00am. I wish we had more time to kill there but ah well, next year I hope to go back with just friends with our own car and have the whole day to waste without a time crunch, but for 20 bucks, totally the best deal i've ever paid for ;)
On top of allllllllll that, my bestest friend from Canada got proposed to (and she said yes!!!!), I finally received my Halloween costume from China (heck yes, Ms Marvel!), and I got news that all ROTC cadets are eligible for a scholarship to study abroad this summer to receive 8 or more credits worth of a language with all expenses covered! So....... Jordan/ Tunisia/ Morocco/ or where ever!! I hope to gain a few credits this summer learning Arabic so keep your fingers crossed :D
Ahhhhh such a grand weekend, only to get me pumped and ready for the upcoming week, so.... BRING IT ON!!! Tuesday I have Drill Lab for AFROTC, and.... I'm fa-REAKING OUT! :OOOOO It's where, I'll be given a card with several commands on it that I will have to call in the correct order for the flight to execute WITH several extra commands that are NOT on the card but are needed before I can even call some of the commands on the card AND all under a timelimit and the watchful eyes of my inspector. AHHHHHHHH!!!! sounds confusing right??? :P but since I had such an AH-mazing weekend, I feel like I'm ready for anything.
Thank you Trine University for igniting the fabuluos weekend with Cedar Point ;) I couldn't have asked for anything better!!! :)))
Alrighty dudes, I'm outta here, gotta study for Chinese, god I love that class!
Peace Out!

But Trine Unv. could only offer so many tickets to students so it was first come first serve for whom ever had their money right then and there (Thank you Damon for spotting me 20 bucks! i paid ya back ;] ) so yep it's gonna be an exciting weekend of screams, laughter, and excitement!! I am gonna race to the Maverick, that roller coaster is the SHIZ!! So I'll update you once I get back and settled, we'll be back on campus around 2:30 in the morning on Sunday, can't wait!!! :DDDDD
This week has been a goooooood week :) CCH (Christian Campus House) had a pumpkin carving party and I totally took part in that! Here's the picture of Charles Tim Davis:

There was bobbing for apples, card games, DELICIOUS Halloween cookies and just overal fun with everyone! The game spoons was going on, and i'm serious dudes, spoons were-a-flying!! haha it was a lot of fun and Charles Tim is happy to be here :P haha
There was a hypnotist on campus at the same time, but I decided to stay within my own state of mind and crave a pumpkin ;P but I heard he was really good so a well, there's always stuff going around Trine so I'm sure something else exciting will be back before you know it!
So, OH! Before I head out to get some food in my gut before we depart for.... CEDAR POINT, i just wanna say, Case 39 the movie I saw on Monday was actually good! It was creepy but not toooo creepy, so it was bearable but really messed with your head! I'd recommend it to anyone who likes creepy movies ;) 4 out of 5 stars!
Alrighty folks, I'll be a heading out now. Wish me luck that I survive these wicked coasters and I'll be sure to tell you of my adventure asap. Stay awesome everyone and I'll chat soon.
Peace Out

MONdays....
*yawn* ah, still haven't woken up on this chilly Monday, and i mean chilly! Yet there are still people who wear shorts and flip flops as if it's 80 degrees out! It's in the 50s dudes, bundle up ;) haha
Well, this weekend was fairly productive, two great games to see. We of course kicked butt in football, Trine 38 Alma 0! Woot woot! Lot's of close calls and sa-weet interceptions! At the girls soccer game we came up short, Trine 0 Alma 2, but they put up an awesome fight and the team overall has improved greatly this year!! Cross-country has improved this year too! They ran at Manchester on Saturday, sorry I couldn't be there, but great job you guys!
Let's see what else did I do..... OH! Trine Air Force ROTC went well on Sunday flight practice (marching training). We haven't been able to march color guard during the football games this year because we don't actually own the color guard gear so we have to rent them and we just can't get our hands on any!! But flight practice was fine, just calling out the commands and the freshmen are really holding up well. I'm still the only girl, but none of the cadets treat me any differently and I appreciate that GREATLY! but i've been working on a few girls this year so, I'm crossing my fingers!!!
My roommate and I watched Killers this weekend and sorry but I have to give it a 2 out of 5 stars. Ashton Kutcher just is not the "James Bond" type and come on, no woman finds their man that quick!!! :P and the storyline was really easy to foresee, but Katherine Heigl was hilarious! It's good maybe for a one-time only rental just to fill up your weekend, but not a buy.
Well peeps, I better call this one good. The weekend was very chill, just a nice breather from the hectic mid-terms week before so sleeping was a HUGE part of the weekend. haha And oh how I'd love to grab a few more hours of sleep but I better get ready for practice ;) yay running! I'm so sore from lifting yesterday, ugh... probably shouldn't have done that ;P but hey I gotta get ready for my Halloween costume (I'm gonna be Ms Marvel, look her up if you don't know her, which is probably everyone haha but she's awesome and my costume was shipped last week from China, so I hope to God it gets here in time, *bites nails*) so i'm buffing myself up :P
OH! and don't forget! It's Free Movie Monday!!! Either Case 39 or Let Me In, both scary movies. Case 39 is about this social worker that adopts a beaten girl after the parents are sent to prison for abuse charges but some evil entity seems to be trying to get to the girl or something. And Let Me In I've seen from previews is about this little vampire/evil girl (i guess she was in the movie Kick ummm.... Gluts!) that like eats people or something haha
I plan on seeing Case 39 so yep, hope it's good!
